  • What type of degree is awarded upon completing the MSLT?

    The MSLT is a type of master’s degree (“MS” or “MSc”) focusing on specialized knowledge in the intersection science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, including their regulatory and policy dimensions. The MSLT incorporates technical coursework, including blockchain, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, statistics, and programming to lead to career advancement and higher earning in different professional fields and industries.

  • Who is the program for?

    This degree is ideal for anyone holding a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any field (including, but not limited to business, tech, analytics, legal, STEM) who is interested in gaining expertise on how innovation, regulation, and governance intersect in digital domains. A prior law degree is not required.

  • What subjects does the MSLT cover?

    The curriculum is organized into three focus areas:

    • Law, Technology, and Innovation (9-12 credits): Blockchain Fundamentals, Cybersecurity and Privacy Law, Law Practice Technology, Law, Science and Technology
    • Law, AI, and Machine Learning (9-12 credits): Computer and Internet Law, Intellectual Property, Smart City Applications, Artificial Intelligence and the Law, Introduction to Machine Learning, Introduction to Data Science
    • Data Protection and Financial Technology (6-9 credits): Financial Technology Law, Blockchain Applications
  • How long is the program and for how many credits?

    The MSLT is designed to be completed in three semesters during which students will earn 30 credits.

  • How is the program delivered and when?

    Courses are delivered online, with live sessions, plus an immersion weekend component at the end of the second semester. Evening classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday are part of the structure to accommodate working professionals.

  • Will I be able to interact with faculty and classmates?

    Yes. The program features real-time live sessions where you can interact with faculty, collaborate with peers, and engage deeply with course content.

  • How much does the MSLT cost?

    Tuition is approximately $25,626 for the full 30 credits. This includes all online fees.

  • What is the "Bootcamp" mentioned on the program page?

    The Bootcamp is a self-paced, hands-on introduction to U.S. Law, Python, and Cybersecurity—three 16-hour courses that build the foundation for success in the master’s program and to create a common baseline for students from different disciplinary backgrounds. Offered at no additional cost, this unique bootcamp helps students save time and money while gaining the confidence and skills to dive straight into the program’s advanced content.

  • What are the eligibility and admission criteria?

    Applicants need:

    • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in upper-division undergraduate coursework, OR a graduate degree from an accredited institution. Under exceptional circumstances, the committee may waive GPA requirements if a candidate demonstrates strong potential through other experience.

  • Am I allowed to work while enrolled in the program?

    Yes. The program is structured for working professionals and those with other demanding obligations. The evening, online format, and flexible scheduling allow you to continue your regular life while pursuing the degree.

  • How is the MSLT different from a Juris Doctor or other law degree?

    The MSLT is not a Juris Doctor or another law degree and does not grant eligibility to practice law or to sit for the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction. It is designed to provide expertise in the legal and regulatory aspects of technology for professionals in various fields.

  • How is the MSLT different from other technology law programs?

    The MSLT offers several distinctive advantages:
