FIU Law Scholarships

Dean's Scholarship: Awarded to our most qualified students. Recipients are selected during the admission review process based on academic performance.

Out-of-State Tuition Waiver: This merit-based waiver is awarded to out-of-state students. Recipients are selected during the admission review process based on academic performance.

Foundation and Endowed Scholarships: These scholarships are application-based and instructions are emailed to all FIU Law returning and admitted students before the start of every academic year. Some of these scholarships include First Generation, Jackson Lewis, CABA and LA Reitmeister Environmenmtal.

Loans

Bar Study Loans: These loans are for JD students in their final year of study and for 13 months after graduation. These optional loans for up to $15,000 are used to help cover living expenses while students prepare for the bar exam. An application can be completed online with a private lender of choice. Enrollment or graduation are certified by FIU Law and funds are disbersed directly from lender to student.

Refund Policy

Per credit-hour tuition fees are fully refunded for courses dropped during the official add/drop period. FIU Law’s entire policy on changes after the add/drop period, including fee liability, can be found in FIU Policy 1360.005 Adding and Dropping of Courses.
