Here at FIU Law, we know that doing is the best form of learning. Our experiential learning opportunities let JD students get practical experience through direct, supervised involvement. Through experiential learning, you will graduate from the JD program with experience under your belt and knowledge of how to apply your skills practically and efficiently.

  • Law Clinics

    Our Clinical Program lets you apply legal and ethical principles in context. Under close supervision of experienced attorneys, you will confront specific legal scenarios to develop your skills in action.

    Pro bono practice at approved sites or programs is a requirement for graduation and represents our commitment to making universal access to justice a key part of our legal education.

    Get hands-on experience in the legal profession by stepping out of the classroom and into practice at one of our approved, specialized placements for real clients under real attorneys.

    This practicum is a full-time course that immerses you in a semester of practical experience at an external firm, organization or government agency where you will work directly with an attorney.
